The welfare of the child and vulnerable adult is paramount, as enshrined in the Children Act 1989 and Care Act 2014.

In all situations the details of the alleged allegation/concern must be recorded.
Make accurate notes of:
Action taken to investigate including further action taken e.g. suspension of individual and if relevant: reasons why the matter was not referred to a statutory agency, name of person reporting and to whom it was reported
The record must be stored securely and shared only with those who need to know.
DO NOT worry that you might be mistaken; you have a responsibility to pass on your concerns following a disclosure. Never think abuse is impossible, or that an accusation about a person you know well, and trust is bound to be wrong.

Performance Protocols:
On the day of the performance facilities checks will be made.
Signing in
All children will be signed in with chaperones via the side entrance to the café – once signed in they will be taken to the green room called the studio. All parents will be given a reference number for their child to remember for collection.
Green room/holding area
The Studio has teared seating for all children and privare access to gender split toilets. Children will sit in their batches. Allergies and medical notes taken and filed. Children will bring their own food and drink.
Chaperones will be sitting in this area/ bins and we will have access contact to the First Aider who is Elisha Patel - 07951753362
Only the professional children JSPB’s will change – we have access to a private changing area – again gender split.
No other children are changing. Children will be collected by a runner and accompanied by a chaperone to the stage and back Chaperones will be SL & SR at all times.
Time sheets will be completed and filed.
Sigining out
All children will be brought by their chaperones to the stage and will be signed out one group at a time with chaperones. Reference numbers will be requested for this process.
